Frequently Asked Questions
What is an Earthy Foodie?
Okay, so I admit that I made up this term. A foodie is someone who loves food, therefore an Earthy Foodie is a person who loves food that comes from the earth. I call myself an Earthy Foodie because I prefer to eat foods that are unprocessed and healthy for my body. Such foods include fruit, vegetables, nuts, legumes, etc. The list goes on. I find that eating like this is not only good for my body, but good for my mood as well. Though that is technically what Earthy Foodie means, I like to think of it as an all-encompassing term that also stands for those four lovely words up above: nutrition, wellness, fitness, and self-care. Eating healthily can lead to a plethora of healthy practices that just make you feel good, and isn't feeling good the point of life?
What is veganism?
Veganism is when someone chooses not to consume or use any animal products or by-products. These products include but are not limited to: meat (including fish and poultry), dairy, eggs, honey, leather, etc. Consuming these products has been scientifically proven to lead to disease, such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, etc. Eating a whole foods, plant-based diet has also been proved to sometimes reverse and even eradicate these diseases from the body as well as providing the consumer with a happier, healthier lifestyle. Veganism also prevents money-driven industries from gaining more income by killing and/or torturing innocent animals. Veganism leads one toward a healthy life as well as preserving many innocent lives; it's a win-win situation! (You also spend less on food if you eat a plant-based diet).
