What to Do When You Fall Out of Your Healthy Habits
Before I went back to school after winter break, I noticed I gave up a few of my healthy habits such as meditating and doing bodyweight exercises and doing the little things I did for self-love. I then got a new dog three weeks ago and had to take care of him, so starting then, I stopped going to the gym and drinking a good amount of water. Then I got the flu at the end of that week and had it for about a week, so then I stopped really doing any of my healthy habits aside from my diet, it was also very difficult to get a healthy amount of sleep. The following week and and I assume this week as well from the way it's going, I'm still recovering from the effects of the flu (coughing and congestion). I have not yet restarted most of these healthy habits that I adopted about a month ago. I believe this is the reason some of my anxiety has returned.
If you also have experienced something similar that made you fall off the health wagon, I say don't stress it too much. If you fall out of your healthy habits, just try to get right back in them. There's no use in worrying about something that already happened because it is now out of your control, the only thing that matters is what you do from here. Are you going to start up again? Or will you continue the new path you've started? It's all up to you.
